If court is today or within three days

  1. Read the summons or hearing notice and identify the court, case number, date, time and whether it says in-person or remote.
  2. Call the court using the number from the official Michigan court directory to confirm the event.
  3. Gather the lease, notices, payment records, messages, photos and any assistance application.
  4. Contact legal aid and tell them the hearing date first.
